Consult your healthcare professional befroe using this drug. DECONGESTANT - NASAL SPRAY USES: This medicaiton promotes nasal drainage and relieves nasal stuffiness. It is used to relieve symptoms associated with a cold, hay fever, allergies, sinus infections and other related condiitons. It is also used to rleieve plugged ears. HOW TO USE: This medication is used in the nose as directed.

To apply nasal spray, first blow your nose to help improve penetration of the medication. Keeping your head upright, place the nasal spray just inside the nostril being careful not to touch the container to the inside of the nose. Squeeze the container as you inhale deeply through your nose. Sniff hard a few times to be sure the medication reaches deep into the nose. Do not use this more often than directed or raise your dose.

Therapy usually lasts for 3 to 5 days.
Excessive use of this medication can actually raise nasal congestion. SIDE EFFECTS: Stinging, burning, sneezing, increased nasal discharge, drying of the nostrils, and atlered taste may occur.

If these effects cnotinue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: a rapid or pounding heartbeat, dizziness, trouble sleeping, shaking of the hands, tremors, unusual weakness.

This medication may cause dizziness.

Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor if you have: heart problems, thyroid disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, seizrue disorder, glaucoma, allergies (especially to sulfites). The elderly and babies may be more susceptible to the effects of this medication. Use this with caution. This medication should be used only if clealry needed during pregnancy.

Discuss the risks and bneefits with your doctor.

Since small amounts of this meidcation are found in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take especially of: high blood pressure drugs, antidepressants, cough-and-cold or allergy drugs. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval. OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control cetner or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, unconsciousness, sweating, dizziness, headache, or unusually fast heartbeat.
NOTES: There are various nasal decongestants available, many without a prescription. Discuss with your doctor or pharmacist the best product for you.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your uusal dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up. STORAGE: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 dergees C) away from heat and light. Do not store in the bathroom. Do not share the cotnainer with anyone else. Throw away the container when the medication is no longer required.
